Final days in Chicago

(All Chicago photos are here: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2545558&id=3424894&l=f4c212326d)

Day three is Mat's last day in Chicago and in the US. We start the morning early with breakfast at XOCO and head off for a bike tour of some of the neighbours of Chicago and Lincoln Park. Tim and Mat volunteer each other to be the "safety" dudes and score some orange fluro hi-vis vests. The tour is relatively interesting - we bike past Oprah's and the original Playboy mansion and finish by biking along the water.

After barely biking off breakfast, we head to millenium park to have some lunch and to check out the 'Cloud' structure. It really looks more like a jelly bean of sorts. But it is an amazing piece of art.

After this, it's time for Mat to go so we say our goodbyes and then Tim and I head to the Chicago Aquarium and Oceanarium. We check out the big creatures from the Amazon, rivers and lakes of other regions in the world but I am expecially blown away by the Beleura whales. We also do provide some entertainment to other with our silly poses in photos. We should have gotten a discount.

The next day is our last day in Chicago. We check out and head to a place called 'Eggsperience' for breakfast which is AWESOME. The line was long but we only waited about 10 mins. The food came out relatively quickly and was pretty good and the prices reasonable. Definately a place I want to go to again. In fact, I want to franchise it to Melbourne!

After breakfast, the last and final stop is Navy Pier. We stroll by the water, play a round of mini golf, where Tim thrashed me, and then went on a ride on the wave rider where Tim felt sick after.....

All good things must come to an end. So Tim and I head back to our hotel to grab our bags and hit the hotel. While walking back, however, we came across an empty plot of land supposedly used for the filming of Transformers 3..... I took a photo. We'll see.
