Finally this morning we wake up with a little more sunshine. We pack and check out and head to the Empire State Building. We arrive at about 9am and the crowds have yet to gather so we are lucky and make our way upstairs very quickly. It's not a sunny day by any means but it is definately clear enough to see the view.
After visiting one of the most famous buildings in the world, we go to Macy's. Touted as the world's largest store.... which it is. I know some who would feel very much at home. The store is made of two interconnected buildings, one with 7 floors, the other with 9. It's so big that it has it's own McDonald's.
After losing our way several times, we head back to Times Square to sit for a bit, have a NY hot dog and take in the city one last time.
Eventually, we need to go back to the Hostel to grab our bags and head to the Tick Tock Diner to wait it out for our bus home to Boston while Mat heads to Penn Station to continue his East Coast tour in Toronto.
