We spend the first few days adjusting to the time difference, often waking up at 2am or 5am thinking it's alreading time to get going, but on the whole, week 1 in Boston has been a good week as we go around doing the Tourist thing.
We utilize the shuttle from the hotel into the city for the first day. We then decide that walking the 30-40 mins to and from the hotel is the best way to get some exercise into our day, especially since any real gym work is out the window given the dreadful cold I've managed to catch on route to Boston.
Boston is a pretty city with few high rise buildings. There is the Prudential Center which has a viewing deck and restaurant at the top, but even that is 52 stories tall.
We also visited: The Boston Public Library; Museum of Fine Arts; New England Aquarium; Quincy Markets; Faneuil Hall; The Bunker Hill Monument; The USS Constitution; The Science Museum; Fenway Park; Harvard / Harvard Museum of Natural History (which was by far the best place ever!); The Boston Commons, the original Cheers! bar and enjoyed a relaxing cruise around the Boston Harbour.

We didn't visit all these places in one day naturally. After all that sight-seeing we're not moving closer to being "locals" as we took at $72 cab ride from the city out to a suburb called Natick to stay in a hotel which is near Tim's college. Mind you, it's still two train stops and a 20 min walk away from here. (Car anyone?)
Tim first got to know his course mates last night at drinks in the city and is now on an International Orietation Day. The exciting part is tomorrow we get to move into our on campus apartment!! hooray!
